When issues arise with gear reducers, we should promptly inspect and address the malfunctions, provided that we have a certain understanding of the potential problems that gear reducers may encounter. 1. Damage to transmission components during installation: Damage to transmission components due to improper operation can lead to inaccurate or unstable movement. Due to the damage, high-speed moving components are damaged by oil films; moving components are artificially imbalanced; both produce vibration and noise. Care must be taken to avoid this cause during installation. Damaged components that cannot be repaired must be replaced to ensure a stable noise level
2. When installing vibration reduction and damping measures for reducers, efforts should be made to avoid resonance between the machine body and the foundation support and connecting components, which can generate noise. Gear reducers typically have one or multiple gears inside the gear motor, which can resonate within certain speed ranges. Apart from design considerations, in the absence of a no-load test, there is a direct relationship between the installation position and resonance location, as well as corresponding vibration reduction or damping measures. For some reducers that require low transmission noise and vibration, high-toughness and high-damping substrates should be used to reduce noise and vibration
3. The components of the gear motor in the energy-saving reducer are loose. Due to the looseness of various components (such as the bearing pre-tightening mechanism, shaft positioning mechanism, etc.), the system is not properly positioned, resulting in abnormal position engagement, shaft system movement, vibration, and noise generation. This series requires starting from the design structure to ensure the stability of the connections between various mechanisms as much as possible, using multiple connection methods
The geometric accuracy of the components was adjusted because the geometric accuracy of the installation did not meet the standard requirements, resulting in resonance and noise in the gear reducer components. This should be directly related to improving the installation process, adding tools, and ensuring the overall quality of the assembly personnel
